Preparation for Natural Healing: Clearing Congestion

Clearing Emotional-Physical Congestion Points in Preparation for Healing Journeys

Emotional/Physical Congestion Points

Using natural remedies and healing techniques has always been my preference, and I am fascinated by the remedies and techniques which have existed seemingly forever.

Recently re-reading my EFT manual I was reminded (and with all those res you know it was mercury retrograde) of how long everything we need has been available to us, in the earthly sense and in the ether.

I’d never heard of EFT yet had been using “tapupuncture” for decades. No access to an acupuncturist meant I had to find a way to do it myself. And my solution — tapupuncture — is basically DIY acupunture without needles (and with a positive attitude). Then I found EFT, which is basically tapupuncture with positive affirmations. As this knowledge must be in the ether, surely others have made the same discovery.

Back to the EFT manual…the congestion points. A push to “address them” must also be in the ether, as the necessity has been mentioned by a number of my teachers over the years, and it’s part of EFT, as well.

The congestion points: locate your suprasternal notch (the v-shaped notch at the center of your collar bone), go down and then to either side approximately three inches. This is an approximate, and every person is unique — but most of us will find one very sore spot in each of these two general areas. And why are we sore? Because this is where we keep a lot of our junk…

No time for an in-depth treatise, but. Whenever I’m getting ready to do a fast or make a fresh start or begin a healing process, I  (gently but firmly) massage, tap, and/or apply pressure to these points. If done regularly, unless there’s been interim trauma, the soreness lessens while the overall health and vitality (and mood!) show general improvement.

I’m guessing you’ve already found your sore spots. And I hope this technique will prove as invaluable for thee as for me.

Thank you for this! I never heard of it before but I am studying all the ways I can control my health for myself. You have a lot of things here that are helpful so I wanted to say thank you for all of it and I agree I hope you post more.

I found your blog looking for something else but I remember my mom doing this a long time ago because her homeopath told her to. I forgot all about it until I read your article and I do have two sore spots. Thanks. I will try this and I will bookmark your site. I can tell your not just trying to sell stuff and you write about different interesting things.
